Test Addresses for 2015 Edition Certification Testing
Two addresses are provided to EMR Direct developers for use in certification testing, an h.1/general purpose test address and a b.1-only test address. Use the address ending in "-edge2015@directtest.interopengine.com" for b.1 testing ONLY (this address works only with the ETT's HISP simulator as documented in b.1 tests). The b.1 test address is only a fully-functional Direct address when used as part of b.1 testing--where the ETT itself performs a subset of the required capabilities.
Please note that when testing an EMR Direct implementation with the ETT or DCDT tools, the system under test should always be using the phiMail API (not SMTP) to connect to the EMR Direct sandbox server to send messages. When connecting to sandbox.phimail-dev.com at port 32541 using the phiMail API and authenticating using the b.1 address as username, this automatically enables the SMTP edge client that is built into the phiMail system, and all outgoing messages submitted using the phiMail API will be automatically sent to the ETT by the phiMail server using the built-in SMTP edge as required for the ETT's SMTP Send test. Systems under test thus do not need to develop their own separate SMTP client. The same phiMail API is used for all b.1 and h.1 ETT tests -- only the address used to authenticate to phiMail is different.
Similarly, EMR Direct implementations use the address ending in "@test.directproject.net" for h.1 testing and for testing of general Direct Messaging (this address can exchange with other trusted test Direct addresses). The h.1 test address is configured to send and receive from/to other test addresses that it trusts; it is meant for testing that does not involve the b.1 tests with the test tool. Please refer to EMR Direct's 2015 Edition ETT and DCDT Testing with phiMail document for more detailed information (let us know if you are undergoing 2015 Edition Cures Update testing so that we can provide you with updated testing documentation and the current prdouct version number). This document contains specific details needed for profile configuration (such as the vendor SMTP username and password needed for ETT testing as well as additional test addresses EMR Direct developers will need to pass certification testing successfully), registering with the DCDT and ETT tools, receiving new incoming Direct message alerts from EMR Direct, and capturing exceptions from the phiMail API that are required to successfully certify when relying on EMR Direct for b.1, e.1, or h.1. For testing after September 1, 2020, be sure to use the 2015 Edition ETT and DCDT Testing with phiMail dated August, 2020 or later. Registered EMR Direct Developers may obtain the most recent version of the testing guide by emailing support@emrdirect.com.
Both the b.1 and h.1 phiMail Sandbox Direct addresses can be accessed with the phiMail API at the sandbox server (host: sandbox.phimail-dev.com port:32541) or through the phiMail Web Sandbox at https://www.emrdirect.com/web (note that production accounts are either web-based or integrated, and not both simultaneously).
Please note that b.1 test addresses are configured to use the same password as the corresponding h.1 address. The h.1 phiMail sandbox Direct address and password are displayed when signed in to the developer site at https://www.emrdirect.com/phimail/login. The Developer account username is the email address used to register and the Developer account password may be reset on the Developer sign in page.
